Stars and Stripes Forever Unity flag

With another U.S. government shutdown expected soon, here’s a flag inspired by Lincoln’s speech, “The Perpetuation of our Political Institutions” and Sousa’s national march, “The Stars and Stripes Forever.’
A circle for unity, dark blue because we are more united in dark times. Thirteen stars for the thirteen founding colonies. Three stripes for the government branches they established. Infinity symbol because the United States always returns to dark times, but then amends the constitution to renew our democratic experiment: Stars and Stripes Forever.

“Let every American, every lover of liberty, every well wisher to his posterity, swear by the blood of the Revolution, never to violate the laws of the country; and never to tolerate their violation by others.” -Abraham Lincoln, 1838 Lyceum Speech “The Perpetuation of our Political Institutions.”
