Representatives Porter, Lee, and Schiff, signed the We The People Amendment in the House of Representatives. My campaign promotes the constitutional amendment to reinstate Campaign Finance Reform. I’m still waiting for Representatives Porter, Lee, and Schiff to help move the amendment forward. We need leaders in Congress. Signatures and empty promises are not enough anymore.
These amendments are required to reinstate Republican John McCain’s campaign finance reform law that was struck down in a 5-4 Supreme Court decision (source: https://www.brennancenter.org/our-work/analysis-opinion/how-john-mccain-nearly-made-gop-party-campaign-finance-reform).
Dodger great Steve Garvey even won’t stand on the base issues. He voted for Trump twice but doesn’t want to “Make America Great Again.” I would never vote for Trump, but I think America was pretty great in the 70s. The Golden State Warriors won the World Championship with head coach Al Attles, one of the first African-Americans to lead a professional sports team to victory. Passing the 26th Amendment in ’71 was amazing, with youth finally getting the vote and ending the draft. The middle class was strong, and CEOs who were only paid 50 times the average worker’s wage. Back then CEOs kept jobs in their local communities. America wasn’t perfect in the run-up to the Bicentennial, but we were great and getting better.
I believed in the American Dream back in the ’70’s learning civics as a child with Schoolhouse Rock. We met the Soviets in space, shaking hands in friendship while orbiting our fragile home. Let’s Make Congress Great Again and help fix America! A vote for John Rose is a vote for change and will force other candidates to lead instead of just talking. Politicians want us to lead the charge to reinstate bipartisan campaign finance reform. I’ve made my candidate statement in favor. You can make a statement with your vote for John Rose and send the politicians a message.
Garvey will strike out, and Representatives Porter, Lee, and Schiff will simply follow the well worn path of promises with no delivery. They can prove me wrong and stand up for their Constitutional Amendment and campaign finance reform, but they haven’t said a word yet. Electing John Rose will send a Senator to Congress with a clear mandate for change.
