Picasso said that good artists borrow, great artists steal. I’m just a student of art and humanities so I attribute my sources.

Democracy Awareness Möbius Ribbon

There’s nothing new under the sun, to paraphrase Lincoln, Shakespeare, and the Bible. I appropriated the Democracy Awareness Möbius Ribbon from the Roman Empire and they borrowed the idea from Ancient Egypt and added a phoenix to co-opt the Christian concept of rebirth. The Romans used the symbols to promote the eternality of their empire.

That’s Aion, the Hellenistic deity of time, framed by the Möbius strip. He’s holding an orb and a phoenix. Aion was borrowed from the birthplace of democracy, Ancient Greece. If it looks like he’s walking through a Stargate, he is; those are the signs of the Zodiac on the Möbius strip. If your horoscope is inaccurate it’s probably because the forgotten 13th constellation of the Zodiac is Ophiuchus, a man wrangling a snake. The snake eating itself is another representation of eternity, and of course the snake tempted us humans into wrangling with knowledge in the first place, but I digress.

The phoenix is nothing new under the sun and was believed to return to Heliopolis, city of the sun, every 500 years for it’s fiery rebirth. Heliopolis is now now a district of Cairo easily found by its remaining obelisk. It’s other obelisks are in Rome, London, and New York. The Washington D.C. obelisk is a reproduction.

Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country. That’s the typing exercise my father learned in the Air Force as a teletype operator and he taught to me. My dad could type quick as a brown fox jumping over a lazy dog. I type more like a lazy dog.

Remington made both rifles and typewriters.

Aion has all the time in the world, but our democracy is severely challenged today. In 2026 our nation will be half way through a Phoenix lifespan and a quarter of the way through the millennium that the Roman Empire lasted. As Lincoln said in his Perpetuation of our Political Institutions speech, the pillars of the temple of democracy have crumbled away and we must rebuild them.

Now is the time for all good men and women to come to the aid of their country. I’m John Rose and I rose already. Will you wake up and rise with me? A vote for me is a vote for change and a wake up call to our politicians that the time for change is now.
